All the stars we see twinkling in the night sky belong to just a tiny part of our galaxy the Milky Way. Even though the Milky Way contains over 200 billion stars, the human eye can only see a few thousand without telescopes, all located relatively close to our solar system. This means when you look up at night, you’re not seeing the whole galaxy just a very small neighborhood within it. Beyond this small patch lies an unimaginable vastness filled with countless other stars, star clusters and mysterious cosmic wonders. #space #science #fact #facts ... www.facebook.com/musarrafkhan080/posts/pfbid0KbXZ6VT7nxKxLvfhTQd2dUqWBFBp2DQC ... |

Idézet: Új hírek érkeztek a 3I/ATLAS-ról.

In a rare daytime observation, a mysterious rock — possibly an asteroid — slammed into the Moon’s surface. Impacts like this can eject dust high above the lunar surface, sometimes visible from Earth as a quick flash. Scientists study such events to learn more about the Moon’s composition and the constant barrage of space debris it endures. #space #SpaceX #NASA ... www.facebook.com/watch?v=4298707933694751 |

" A sugárzás robbanásakor a törmelék spirálisan befelé sodródott, 3 millió °C-ra hevült, és hatalmas röntgensugarakat bocsátott ki, amelyeket a @NASAHubble és a @nasachandraxray obszervatóriumok észleltek. "

#Astronomers just caught a Black Hole tearing a massive star apart! 450 million light-years away, in the constellation Hercules, lies the giant elliptical galaxy NGC 6099. Far from its bright center — about 40,000 light-years out in a dense star cluster — lurks a rare intermediate-mass black hole weighing tens of thousands of Suns. One unlucky star drifted too close… and the black hole’s gravity tore it apart. In a burst of radiation, the debris spiraled inward, heating to 3 million °C and unleashing powerful X-rays detected by @NASAHubble and @nasachandraxray observatories. These events, called tidal disruption events, are so rare that catching one in progress is like spotting lightning strike from another galaxy. The video you’re watching is a scientific illustration based on Hubble and Chandra data, recreating the moment the star met its end. These are the last known pieces of Earth's original crust. A new study has strengthened the case that rocks from Canada’s Nuvvuagittuq Greenstone Belt may be the oldest known remnants of Earth’s primordial crust. New isotope analysis reveals that a rock intrusion within the formation dates back 4.16 billion years. Since intrusions are younger than the surrounding rock, this implies that the surrounding material could be as old as 4.3 billion years—forming during the Hadean Aeon, only a few hundred million years after Earth itself emerged. This ancient formation, located on the shore of Hudson Bay, has long intrigued geologists. Though earlier attempts to date it using neodymium and samarium isotopes sparked debate due to inconsistent results, the new study found that both isotopic “clocks” now agree, reinforcing confidence in the rock’s extraordinary age. If confirmed, this would make the Nuvvuagittuq rocks the oldest complete rock formation on Earth, offering rare insight into the planet’s earliest crust and clues to when plate tectonics and oceans may have first emerged. ... www.facebook.com/naturalfruit99/posts/pfbid034jjXeoHncskeSB7bnRrcxRWfiYtiirBk ... |

The Closer We Look, the More Matter Disappears into Vibrations of Pure Energy Dive into the subatomic realm and you’ll find that matter, as we know it, dissolves. What seemed concrete and absolute vanishes into patterns of energy. An atom, when magnified beyond its limits, reveals no solid core only a charged emptiness, a quiet storm of electromagnetic forces endlessly spinning and vibrating. The tiniest pieces of the universe aren’t “things” at all. They are waves flickering, fleeting, and endlessly in motion. Electrons don’t orbit like miniature planets. Protons aren’t tightly packed marbles. These are outdated metaphors for a world that defies logic. Instead, quantum theory describes a vast sea of vibrating fields. Every particle we know quarks, leptons, bosons is just a pulse or disturbance in these invisible fields. The “mass” you feel? An illusion born from energy binding briefly to form structure. It’s as if the universe is humming with soundless music. Nothing is truly still everything is energy flowing through a seemingly empty stage. The more closely we examine reality, the more it feels like a projection a manifestation of energy shaped by quantum rules rather than Newtonian bricks. This astonishing truth flips our view of the cosmos. We are not built from solid bits, but woven from waves patterns in an ocean of potential. Beneath our skin, beneath the stars, lies not matter but motion raw, resonating energy in constant performance. Credit: Derived from principles of modern quantum mechanics, QED (quantum electrodynamics), and the Standard Model of particle physics. Inspired by contemporary interpretations in quantum field theory. ... www.facebook.com/SpaceLaneInfo/posts/pfbid028NWVdTugHRLLipM6ra1A524xUT5F46EfN ... |

A major discovery at CERN may help explain one of the biggest cosmic puzzles: why anything exists at all. Using data from the Large Hadron Collider, scientists have observed a rare and long-sought phenomenon known as CP violation—but this time in baryons, the particles that make up most of the matter in the universe. This is big because, according to current physics, the Big Bang should have created equal parts matter and antimatter. But when matter and antimatter meet, they annihilate each other. So why is the universe made almost entirely of matter? Something must have tipped the balance. Until now, CP violation—where the laws of physics treat matter and antimatter slightly differently—had only been seen in a different kind of particle called a meson. But the new study shows a significant asymmetry in Λb baryons and their antimatter twins, meaning they decay in different ways. This is the first time CP violation has been confirmed in baryons. The result: a 5.2 sigma confidence level (a 1 in 10 million chance of being random), pushing us one step closer to uncovering the physics beyond the Standard Model. It’s not the final answer, but it opens a brand-new frontier in the quest to understand why we’re here at all.
